According to the Indian Automotive Industry Association released data show that in August, India's total production of all types of vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, tricycles and two-wheelers) 1,691,553, a decrease of 2.2%, compared with the same period in 2012, an increase of 1,563,646 8.2%.

April to August, the Indian automobile exports fell 2.0%; commercial vehicles and two-wheelers exports decreased by 21.7% and 3.6%, while passenger cars and tricycles registrations were up by 12.4 percent and 33.0 percent.
